Japan Tobacco : JT launches two new products from the Camel brand nationwide in early June 2018

Tokyo, April 23, 2018 --- Japan Tobacco Inc. (JT)(TSE:2914), today announces that it will launch 'Camel Lights Box' and 'Camel Menthol Lights Box' nationwide in early June 2018 from the Camel Brand.

About Camel

The time-honored brand was created in 1913 in the United States, and continues to evolve with its high brand equity. Currently it is available in more than 100 markets worldwide and its global sales volume was ranked sixth(*1)in 2016. Moreover, Camel has had solid consumers patronage since its first launch in Japan in 1952. The new Camel products are priced at 380 yen per packet, offering good value to consumers.

New products feature

Camel Lights Box, the 6mg tar product, offers a balanced tobacco taste with a subtle nutty flavor, one of the original features of the Camel brand. The 5mg tar product, Camel Menthol Lights Box, has a strong and clear menthol taste. These two new products will offer a satisfying flavor, keeping to the brand's traditional taste.

Packaging

A brand symbol, unifying the camel icon and brand logo, is positioned in the middle of the packaging. The blue and green colored image of each product reflects the new products feature, such as taste and aroma. The whole packaging is designed simply, with the hidden CAMEL logo printed in the background.
