During the most recent night, the water surface subsided to such an extent that rescue workers wearing specialist, watertight suits were able in part to penetrate a 20 m roadway and the H-2 longwall face. The water on the H-10 and H-2 roadways continues to be 1 to 2 meters deep, which impedes an effective search.

At the initiative of the City Headquarters of the State Fire Brigade in Jastrzębie-Zdrój, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration mobilized canine search teams. A police dog, z Belgian shepherd trained to work in water and fire brigade dogs from Jastrzębie-Zdrój specially trained to work in rubble and cave-ins are at our disposal. As soon as conditions permit, they will be brought in to penetrate the roadway.

We will report on the operation's progress in subsequent releases.
