On April 16, 2015, one of the most famous scientific journals "Nature" featured a report written by Prof. Shu Kobayashi from The University of Tokyo, who leads the organic synthesis field especially on the development of new immobilized catalyst using polymer-incarcerating techniques.
The study of the article express the establishment of innovative chemical synthesis system using catalysts developed in his Laboratory. This innovative chemical synthesis system is built by the combination of the multiple flow reactor and the several kinds of catalyst, incl. polymer-incarcerated catalyst.
The technical analysis of the reaction mechanism within the structure of the immobilized catalysts and the detection & monitoring of the reaction progress are implemented by utilizing JEOL's STEM/EDS, NMR and Mass Spectrometer through entire research activities.
With this result, JEOL's solution through multi products application and solution represents the company philosophy of successful contribution to the progress in both Science and Human Society.
JEOL commits the continuous development of solution, while making it indispensable to explore the new science / industrial frontier such as development of multiple flow reactor system reported in article of "Nature".
* is the key note of JEOL's midterm plan, called "Dynamic Vision", providing customers with complementary technologies to advance their research and development programs. JEOL develops and manufactures integrated scientific instrumentation with multi-faceted analytical processes in mind. Our solutions for open innovation include collaborating with our industry and academic partners that are reinforced by JEOL service expertise, administrative stability, and continued product evolution.
