JFE Engineering Corporation
JFE Environmental Service Corporation
Recycling Management Japan, Inc.

JFE Engineering Corporation (President and CEO: Hajime Oshita, Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) has decided to consolidate the operations of two companies in the JFE Engineering Group, JFE Environmental Service Corporation (President: Kazuyoshi Fukuda, Head Office: Tsurumi-ku, Yokohama) and Recycling Management Japan, Inc. (President: Yoshihide Kageyama, Head Office: Tsurumi-ku, Yokohama) on October 1 of this year. The consolidated company will be called JFE Environmental Service Corporation.

In the field of public works and public services, the number of cases where the government-private sector collaboration method was adopted has increased in recent years with the aim of utilizing private sector financing and management know-how. Likewise, there is also an increasing need for efficient operational management of facilities in the environmental field, for example, in waste treatment, etc.
Based on this market environment, the JFE Engineering Group decided to consolidate the two above-mentioned companies in order to further expand and develop its environmental business.

JFE Environmental Service Corporation currently performs operational management work for 69 waste treatment facilities and 15 water treatment facilities throughout Japan. On the other hand, Recycling Management Japan has constructed and maintains 4 RDF facilities in various parts of the country, and also performs operational management work for those facilities.
This consolidation will make it possible to provide safer and more efficient operational management work to clients by concentrating and utilizing the facility operation management know-how of the two companies.

The JFE Engineering Group will continue to contribute to improvement/protection of the environment in the future as a group of companies that 'create' and 'support' the foundation for life.

*1 RDF: Refuse-derived fuel. Fuel produced from easy-to-use combustible waste after sorting household waste into 'resource waste' (bottles, cans, etc.) and 'combustible waste' (paper, kitchen waste, plant waste, plastics, etc.).
