Chairman and CEO Alex Molinaroli leads conversations at 'Summer Davos' in Dalian, China

Johnson Controls Chairman and CEO Alex Molinaroli will co-chair the World Economic Forum's (WEF) Annual Meeting of New Champions (AMNC) in Dalian, China, June 27-29, 2017. Johnson Controls has been a strategic partner of the WEF, an international organization for public-private cooperation, since December 2014, but this is the first time Johnson Controls is co-chairing one of the Forum's annual events.

Each year, the ANMC brings global leaders in technology and science together to address global economic, political, societal and environmental challenges. Under the theme of Achieving Inclusive Growth in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, attendees will collaborate to lead new thinking on the fourth industrial revolution, accelerate the deployment of human-centered technology and policy-oriented innovations and dive into China's innovation ecosystem.

During the meeting, Molinaroli will participate in three panels, which will be broadcast live on the Forum's website. The first, China's Clean Tech Revolution, was developed in partnership with CNBC Africa and will discuss the global implications of China's move from the world's biggest polluter to its largest renewable energy market. The second panel, The Smart City Revolution, will cover the policies, business models and technologies that show the greatest promise for smart city projects. The final panel Molinaroli will participate in is Working Towards a Smart and Secure Connected Future, in which he will discuss building smart, secure and connected infrastructure.

This year's AMNC engagement gives Johnson Controls the opportunity to once again demonstrate its commitment to the Asia Pacific region.

Joining Molinaroli in Dalian is Trent Nevill, president, Asia Pacific; Dave Clark, vice president, Commercial Excellence and Sales, Asia Pacific; Jay Cheng, vice president, Corporate Development, Asia Pacific; Nina Wang, vice president, Government Affairs, China; and Ben Pinney, vice president, Enterprise Strategy, Asia Pacific.

During Wednesday's program, Neville will participate in a panel titled Toward a Global Battery Alliance, which covers the objectives and work plan of the Global Battery Alliance, a global public-private coalition that catalyzes, accelerates and scales action toward an inclusive, innovative, smart and sustainable battery value chain. The panel will also give interested organizations an opportunity to engage in the initiative. Nevill's involvement in this panel stems from Johnson Controls' development and leadership of the Responsible Battery Coalition.

Having just opened the Johnson Controls Headquarters Asia Pacific the week prior, this year's AMNC engagement gives Johnson Controls the opportunity to once again demonstrate its commitment to the Asia Pacific region. It's also a unique opportunity for our leaders to meet with key government officials, media representatives and customers all in one place.
