JLL has appointed Gustav Bjoern as Head of Hotel Investment Banking in EMEA. This new role for the firm will see Gustav reporting to Chris Holmes, Head of EMEAhttp://www.jll.eu/emea/en-gb/services/investor-developers/capital-marketsDebt Advisoryand Jon Hubbard, Head of Investor Services EMEA in thehttp://www.joneslanglasalle.com/hotels/EN-GB/Pages/Home.aspxHotels & Hospitality Group.

Gustav has over 20 years of experience in European and North American hotel property operations, advisory and banking. His experience includes five years as a Vice President in the hotel finance specialist team at Aareal Bank AG where he worked with top tier brands such as HVS New York, CWCapital Boston, Aareal Bank Wiesbaden, and advised and lent on transactions in excess of US$3 billion. These deals include €367 million of senior debt financing for Starwood Capital refinancing the Concorde Portfolio in Paris, Nice and Cannes, and £100 million for Morgans Hotel Group and Walton St. refinancing the Sanderson and St. Martins Lane hotels in London.

An alumnus of International Hotel Management at the École Hôtelière de Lausanne, Gustav is currently in the process of obtaining an Executive MBA from Copenhagen Business School.
