Chase Lending Manager and Suwanee, Ga. resident, Angela Gora was recently featured in an HGTV.com web video entitled “My New Hometown.”

The video gave Gora the opportunity to show off her serene hometown, Suwanee, Ga. As someone who has always enjoyed the Georgia climate, Gora said Suwanee is a great place for those who love the outdoors. But her hometown’s benefits don’t end there.

“With homes in Suwanee you can get anything that you want,” said Gora. “You really find different neighborhoods at all different price points.” Gora also highlighted the town’s top-rated schools and close-knit community feel in the video.

Perhaps even more than she loves Suwanee, she enjoys helping people find the places they’ll call home. “I love my job—I get to give people the dream of homeownership,” Gora said. “And it’s more than just moving into a home, it’s about moving into a neighborhood.”

One thing that helps Gora with this important job is the My New HomeSM suite of educational materials from Chase, including a mobile app, YouTube Channel, webinars and other online materials. These materials, which can be found at www.chase.com/mynewhome, give homebuyers the power of information, a thing many recent homebuyers felt they lacked during the process of buying their homes according to a recent survey released by Chase.

The “What I Wish I Knew About the Homebuying Process” survey found that 90 percent of homebuyers felt prepared when they bought their home. However, 56 percent wish they had more knowledge about the financial aspects of purchasing a home, including closing, negotiating offers and financing options.

Lisa Foradori, chief marketing officer for Chase Mortgage Banking said that this was the primary reason that Chase is committed to continuously improving, enhancing and updating their materials. “We created our My New Home app, online educational materials and YouTube Channel to give buyers a primer on what to expect.”

In addition to using these tools, another piece of advice for prospective homebuyers from Gora is to connect with a local lender. “We know the community and we can help guide and direct you,” she said.
