JSR to establish a joint venture for electronic materials business in Korea

Tokyo, Japan, October 1, 2014-- JSR Corporation (Headquarters: Minato Ward, Tokyo; President: Mitsunobu Koshiba) announced today that it has spun off the agency function of its electronic materials from JSR Micro Korea Co., Ltd., a JSR Group subsidiary company wholly owned by JSR, and agreed to form a strategic alliance with PERI Corporation as a Joint Venture, named JSR Electronic Materials Korea Co., Ltd.
The main purposes of the joint venture are to establish and strengthen an organization focused on the electronic materials business in the important Korean market. In addition, it accelerates localization in Korea, which is becoming more crucial for the electronic materials business.
