Julius Baer Gruppe AG : Markets & Custody division appoints new regional Head Asia

Julius Baer expands its trading and execution capabilities in
Asia
Julius Baer, the leading Swiss private banking group, has
appointed Luigi Vignola as new regional Head Asia of its
Markets & Custody division, the trading and execution
department of the Bank, as of 1 January 2012. In this function
he will be responsible for the expansion of the trading and
execution platform in Singapore and related activities in Hong
Kong as well as for enhancing the market access and solutions
provided to clients.
Luigi Vignola succeeds Gérard Berclaz who will return to
Switzerland to assume another key position within Markets &
Custody. As part of his new responsibilities, Luigi Vignola
will also be member of the Markets & Custody Management
Committee and of the Bank's Asia Executive Committee. In his
previous function, he was instrumental in building the
Tailored Solutions Group in the Structured Products area.
Luigi Vignola holds a PhD in Economics from the University of
Zurich, Switzerland.

solutions across all assets classes to the relationship
managers and their clients in the region. In this way, we
