Resignation of Mr Soo-Cheol Shin and Appointment of Mr Sungwon Yoon as Non-executive Director


Jupiter Mines Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Sungwon (SW) Yoon as a non-executive Director. Mr Yoon is the Managing Director of POSCO Australia Pty Ltd, and joins the Board following the retirement from the Jupiter Board of Mr Soo- Cheol (SC) Shin.


POSCO Australia, a subsidiary of global steel group POSCO, is a strategic shareholder of Jupiter, with a 17.08% interest in the Company.


After joining POSCO in 1992, Mr Yoon has focused on the steel making raw materials during his career. He has over 20 years' experience in various roles and responsibilities across POSCO's raw materials procurement, investment, strategy and transportation. Before assuming the Managing Director role of POSCO Australia in March 2016, Mr Yoon was the General Manager of the POSCO coal procurement group.


Jupiter Chief Executive Officer, Priyank Thapliyal, welcomed Mr Yoon to the Board.


"Mr Yoon brings significant experience in the resource industry to our shareholders, having worked across several areas at POSCO. We look forward to his involvement on the Jupiter Board," Mr Thapliyal said.


Mr Shin has resigned following his relocation to POSCO head office in South Korea.


The Board thanks Mr Shin for his contribution to the Company. His experience and knowledge of the steel making industry has proven extremely valuable, and he has been a very large part of building the strong relationship that Jupiter has with POSCO.
