Another step forward towards the redevelopment of the Continassa area was taken today, as the Executive Committee of the City Council of Turin approved the Agreed Executive Plan (Piano Esecutivo Convenzionato, P.E.C.) proposed by Juventus to the City.

The P.E.C. outlines that within the site, alongside the first-team Training Centre, a hotel and the Concept Store, an internationally oriented educational institution will also be constructed in the residential area.

Chief Executive Officer Aldo Mazzia explained during a press conference called to announce the approval of the P.E.C. today: "The project to develop Continassa, with the redevelopment of an area of approximately 176,000 m2, represents a crucial step for Juventus that completes the investment made to build Juventus Stadium and Juventus Museum. The project is a real contribution to develop the City of Turin, both in terms of investment and the important employment benefits that will be felt during the construction phase and the successive phase of managing the businesses that will be launched in the area."

The headquarters of Juventus will be based in a new building within the complex of the Continassa area and the club will carry out the urbanisation works outlined by the project. These include a main square that will host a monument dedicated to the memory of the Heysel victims, green areas, pedestrian pathways, parking lots and a new road that will connect Corso Gaetano Scirea and Via Traves.

"The redevelopment of Continassa represents a fundamental aspect of the urban planning policies of the City of Turin and, in particular, the North zone," reiterated the Director of Urban Planning, Strategic Planning and Private Construction, Stefano Lo Russo.

"It is a new vocation of high international esteem for an area that for decades has needed redeveloping and has now been given a new lease of life thanks to a concrete example of collaboration between public and private entities."
