Group Strategy Shaping 2030

The implementation of K+S AG's new group strategy Shaping 2030 will now be driven by a smaller and newly structured Board of Executive Directors. This was decided by the company's Supervisory Board at its meeting today. The Board of Executive Directors will be supported by an Executive Committee.

Dr Burkhard Lohr (54), Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of K+S, together with Thorsten Boeckers (42), Chief Financial Officer, and Mark Roberts (54), Chief Operating Officer, will form the future Board team.

The newly streamlined Board of Executive Directors will drive the Shaping 2030 Strategy in an even more agile and powerful way. Going forward, the Executive Committee will advise the Board of Executive Directors and offer operational support.

Dr Andreas Kreimeyer, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of K+S: 'Under the leadership of Dr Burkhard Lohr, the implementation of Shaping 2030 and the integration of the Potash and Magnesium Products and Salt business units into One Company is taking shape. The changes in the Board of Executive Directors also follow the common goal of consistently developing the organization and business of K+S and realizing synergies.'

Dr Burkhard Lohr, Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of K+S: 'Customer focus is core to our new group strategy. The new leadership structure follows the One Company logic and the alignment along our four Product Market Segments Agriculture, Industry, Consumers and Communities.'

Against the background of the company's realignment, Dr Otto Lose (46), who developed the new group strategy together with his colleagues on the Board of Executive Directors, will resign from his mandate in mutual amicable agreement. The Supervisory Board thanked Dr Lose for his valuable contribution.

Dr Thomas Nöcker (59) will retire on 1 September 2018 and by then hand over his responsibilities to his colleagues on the Board of Executive Directors. Against this background, the Supervisory Board already expresses its gratitude to Dr Nöcker for his many years of successful service.
