KB HOME : Names Tom Silk Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications

KB Home, one of the nation's premier homebuilders, today announced that
Tom Silk has been named senior vice president of marketing and
communications. In this position, Silk, 43, will be responsible for KB
Home's marketing, advertising, communications, and social media outreach
across its U.S. homebuilding operations.

Silk brings a wealth of marketing and business acumen to KB Home. He was
most recently vice president of marketing for hydration brands at
PepsiCo Beverages Americas. There he led brand strategy, innovation and
execution for PepsiCo's hydration portfolio, including the Aquafina,
Propel, SoBe, Tropicana and Oceanspray juice drink brands. His
accomplishments include leading the turnaround of the SoBe franchise,
which under his leadership become the fastest growing brand in the
company in 2009 and 2010. Previously, Silk led global marketing efforts
for the highly successful Guitar Hero and Call of Duty franchises at
Activision-Blizzard. He also served as a brand marketer at The Clorox
Company, and began his career as an officer in the U.S. Navy.
Silk earned a B.A. degree in U.S. History from the University of
Pennsylvania, graduating Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. He also
holds an M.B.A. in marketing from The Wharton School at the University
of Pennsylvania, where he graduated with distinction and was designated
a Palmer Scholar.
