Kcell continues development 4G/LTE network in Kazakhstan. For the first half of 2017 access to high-speed mobile internet was provided to population of Ridder, Taraz, Turkestan, Kyzylorda, Pertopavlovsk, Shemonaikha and Ekibastuz. There are 20 cities, which is over 40% of country population, is covered by Kcell 4G network since its launch in August 2016.

«Since launch of 4G network, we observe regular traffic growth, used by our subscribers. For Q1 2017, it has grown nearly by 68% in comparison with the same period of the last year. This May we launched 4G+ network (LTE Advanced) in Almaty and Shymkent, and till the end of 2017, we will cover 9 more cities of Kazakhstan with LTE Advanced. Almost quarter our subscribers have been using 4G/LTE network. We expect that through expansion of coverage and increasing in penetration of 4G supporting devices, quantity of 4G and 4G+ users in our network will increase,» - noted the Head of Communications of Kcell JSC Natalya Eskova.

Today, Kcell Stores offer almost all the latest smartphones from key global manufacturers with 4G and 4G+ support. Cost of mobile internet in 4G+ (LTE Advanced) network for Kcell and Activ subscribers remains the same as for 3G and 4G network.

Kcell builds its 4G network based on engineering solutions of Ericsson, which is the global leader in production of telecommunications equipment for LTE networks.

The company conducts continuous monitoring of internet communication and voice service quality throughout the country. During the first quarter of 2017, the engineers of Kcell travelled about 5 thousand kilometers for the purpose of network quality control. Drive test measurements in Almaty and Shymkent demonstrated maximum values: 4.45 and 4.44 scores of 5 MOS (Mean Opinion Score) using international POLQA (Perceptual Objective Listening Quality Assessment) algorithm.
