Kellogg Company announced today the election of Noel R. Wallace to its board of directors effective October 1, 2015 .

Wallace is currently President, Colgate-Palmolive Latin America. He began his consumer products career at Colgate-Palmolive in 1987, and has gained nearly 30 years of experience building, growing and transforming businesses within the company and in emerging markets.

In addition to his current Latin America role, he has held responsibilities in Turkey , Russia , Poland , Mexico , South Africa , Puerto Rico and Uruguay , and previously led the Company's North American unit and Global Sustainability Strategy.

Wallace currently serves on the nonprofit board of Project Sunshine, and has previously served on the boards of several nonprofits, including the American Cleaning Institute, Personal Care Product Council, and American Chamber of Commerce in Poland and Mexico .
