Kellogg Company, the world's largest manufacturer of ready-to-eat breakfast cereals and second largest producer of savory snacks, cookies and crackers, has recently re-located its Asia Pacific headquarters to Singapore. The company's regional president, as well as supply chain, HR, research and development (R&D), marketing and finance leaders will all be based in the new office.

Singapore will also be home to Kellogg Company's new R&D regional centre for savoury snacks, including foods marketed under the Pringles brand. The R&D centre will focus on food, flavor and packaging developments, as well as nutrition and sensory science.

Combined, the Kellogg Asia-Pacific headquarters and R&D centre currently employ about 50 professionals in Singapore. This number is expected to grow as the company's savoury snacks business grows in the region.

According to Amit Banati, Kellogg Asia Pacific president, the new regional headquarters in Singapore represents an important step in realising the company's ambitions for long-term growth throughout Asia Pacific.

"Singapore is a first-class city in which to operate," said Amit. "We're delighted to run the Kellogg Asia Pacific region from such a prime location that welcomes business. We thank the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) for their support and cooperation and look forward to a long and productive relationship."

Ms. Kwee Eng Thien, Assistant Managing Director of the EDB, said that Kellogg's investment strengthens Singapore's position as a leading hub in Asia for consumer businesses in Asia.

"Congratulations to Kellogg on this exciting development. We are very pleased that the company has decided to make Singapore its regional headquarters and savoury snacks R&D centre for Asia Pacific." said Ms Thien. "Their presence contributes to Singapore's standing as a leading hub for consumer businesses to innovate new products for Asia and grow global brands. Kellogg can also leverage the strong supporting ecosystem of brand consultancies, advertising, marketing & media agencies, and the food and nutrition scientific expertise in Singapore, to drive their business and innovation activities for Asia."
