ROSWELL, Ga., Oct. 10, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Kimberly-Clark Professional has joined the Continental Automated Buildings Association's (CABA) Board of Directors. CABA is a trade association that promotes advanced technologies for integrated systems and the automation of homes and buildings.

This follows the announcement by Kimberly-Clark Professional about Onvation Technology, a smart restroom management system launched in partnership with IBM and others. The system harnesses the machine-to machine connectivity of IoT to provide building managers and building service contractors with up-to-the-minute monitoring of restroom conditions from any device or location, 24 hours a day. Onvation Technology is a patent-protected system that helps change the way the restroom is managed by delivering real-time data and alerts so building managers can identify and fix restroom problems before they become complaints.

Kimberly-Clark Professional will be represented on the CABA Board by Steve Becker, Global Leader of Open Innovation and Integrated Solutions Architecture, who is based in Roswell, GA.

"I am very pleased that Steve Becker has joined our Board to represent Kimberly-Clark Professional," said Ronald J. Zimmer, CABA President & CEO. "His contribution to our work will ensure strong representation from an active manufacturer of high-quality consumer products."

Becker is responsible for driving the technology strategy for multiple product categories and market segments, as well as establishing and managing external partnerships to support the commercialization of Kimberly-Clark Professional's innovative solutions. He has more than 20 years of experience in developing and protecting innovative solutions across a wide range of industries including intelligent buildings and smart homes.

"I am grateful for the honor of being elected to the CABA Board," said Becker. "By partnering with such a well-regarded organization, Kimberly-Clark Professional aims to advance the use of automated technology as well as the role the restroom can play in intelligent buildings."
