Following the decision of the Belgian Competition Authority (BCA) of 25 March 2016 and in pursuance of the agreement concluded with the shareholders of Utopia SA on 9 November 2015, Kinepolis Group has taken over the Belgian Utopolis cinemas in Lommel, Turnhout, Mechelen and Aarschot on 14 April 2016. Pending the sale of at least the complexes in Mechelen and Aarschot, the cinemas concerned will operate in accordance with the conditions imposed by the BCA.
