Kinepolis : to set up in Fenouillet, in the north of Toulouse

Fenouillet, France - Following the earlier agreement of the Commission nationale d'aménagement cinématographique (Cnaci - National Commission for cinema development) in September 2014, Kinepolis Group has now received the construction permit for an 8-screen, 1,100-seat cinema complex in Fenouillet, 10 minutes away from the town centre of Toulouse. Construction work has already started. The complex will be part of La Galerie Espaces Fenouillet, the new major recreation and shopping centre in the north of Toulouse, initiated by the real estate company Mercialys. In the long term, the 4,000 m cinema will be integrated into an 87,000 m commercial area with no less than 130 shops, a food cluster of 20 restaurants and parking for 2,600 vehicles. The opening of the cinema is scheduled for the end of 2016. Kinepolis aims to attract more than 400,000 visitors a year in Fenouillet.

This new multiplex in the Toulouse area follows the laying of the first stone of the future Kinepolis complex in Brétigny-sur-Orge, in the Île-de-France region, earlier this month and marks a new step in this expansion.
