Back in 2013, Apple placed high priority on reducing its impact on climate change by using renewable energy sources.

More than 140 Apple Stores in the U.S. - and all of its Australian locations - are now running off 100% renewable energy.

Apple's iCloud data centre in North Carolina has a massive solar array generating anywhere from 60% to 100% of daily energy requirements, with the remaining needs purchased in the form of biogas. This means the centre is 100% renewable. The solar array itself produces 167 million kilowatt-hours of renewable energy onsite per year, enough to power 13,837 homes.
