(NYSE: KNX), one of North America’s largest and most diversified truckload transportation companies, today announced that they were recognized by the American Trucking Association at its annual Safety Management Council meeting in Orlando, Florida for the company’s safety and loss prevention efforts and results during the past year.

Knight Refrigerated was recognized with first place for the fourth consecutive year, in its category (General Commodities - Truckload between 50-100 million miles), as the safest fleet by having the fewest crashes per million miles. Knight Transportation received first place in its category (General Commodities - Truckload over 1000 employees) for fewest work related and lost-time injuries after being recognized with second place for the past two years.
