Shop It to Win It Every Day at Kohl's this Back to School Season

Thousands of prizes and special discounts given every day through September 3

MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis., August 16, 2012 - Today, Kohl ?s Department Stores(NYSE: KSS) announced the "Shop It to Win It" sweepstakes, offering an even more exciting shopping experience while customers shop and save on stylish brands at Kohl?s this back to school season. Beginning Thursday, August 16 through Monday, September 3, customers that shop Kohl?s, Kohls.com, Kohls.com via mobile devices or the Kohl?s Kiosk will receive one game piece code for every $25 spent

for a chance to win a variety of prizes each day from gift cards, to back-to school essentials, to the grand prize of $5,000 in
Kohl?s gift cards for the winner and $1,000 in Kohl?s gift cards for three friends. One in every 10 game pieces will score a
prize or special discount throughout the sweepstakes (see Official Rules available in store or at kohls.com/shopittowinit).
"We are thrilled to offer our customers more ways to win at Kohl?s this season - from scoring incredible values on great back-to-school fashions and essentials, to providing shoppers with the chance to win great prizes every day," said Julie Gardner, Kohl?s executive vice president and chief marketing officer. The sweepstakes is part of Kohl?s integrated "Shop Save Win" campaign that celebrates customers who are budget conscious and looking for quality and style. Each Shop It to Win It game piece will include a unique code that customers can enter at www.kohls.com/shopittowinit to see if they have won and/or to redeem their prize. Instant winners, who can share their excitement via Facebook or Twitter through a Shop it to Win it hash tag (#ShopItToWinIt) will receive a variety of prizes
or special discounts, including a Keurig Mini Coffee Brewer, Jansport backpack, $10 Kohl?s promotional gift, 50 free prints
from Shutterfly* and more. In addition, all codes can be entered at www.kohls.com/shopittowinit for a chance to win $5,000 in Kohl?s gift cards for the winner and $1,000 in Kohl?s gift cards for three friends.
