Komax receives major order from the aerospace sector

One of Komax's strategic objectives is to develop sales markets outside the automotive industry. An important milestone has now been reached. Komax has received its first major order from a company in the aerospace sector, in the low double-digit million range.

Following a successful preliminary project, in the past few days an aerospace company has ordered several large automated wire processing systems. These are scheduled for delivery in 2018-2020. Such a high level of wire processing automation is unique up to now in the aerospace industry.

"This project is only possible thanks to successful partnerships with experts in various fields who have a great deal of knowledge and outstanding applications for individual process steps", explains Matijas Meyer, CEO Komax Group. "Combining the individual strengths of these partners has enabled us to achieve this milestone."

The systems will be based on Komax's serial production machines which have been approved for the aviation industry. Another key component is the laser applications by Laselec, which has belonged in full to the Komax Group since 1 October 2017.

Komax generates more than 85% of revenues in the automotive sector. The company also focuses on the aerospace, telecom/datacom and industrial market segments.
