Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. announces the release tomorrow of the first title in the JIKKYOU PAWAFURU PUROYAKYU (PAWAPURO) series for Nintendo 3DS, 'JIKKYOU PAWAFURU PUROYAKYU Heroes.'

The PAWAPURO series of baseball games began on consoles over two decades ago in 1994, and has been so beloved by fans that it is now considered a flagship KONAMI series. Mobile title 'JIKKYOU PAWAFURU PUROYAKYU,' released in December 2014, has been downloaded over 28 million times (as of end of November 2016). In addition, console title 'JIKKYOU PAWAFURU PUROYAKYU 2016,' released in April 2016, has been highly rated for its gameplay and visuals, with over 500,000 copies shipped.

'JIKKYOU PAWAFURU PUROYAKYU Heroes' is about an ancient baseball tournament held on mysterious Pawafuru Archipelago. Players explore the islands and battle for championship glory with the companions they meet as they win baseball games. Players can also form their own team and face off against their friends in intense match-ups full of flashy pitches and epic homeruns.

KONAMI will continue to develop and publish the PAWAPURO series, to bring the fun and excitement of baseball games to an ever-expanding customer base.
