Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. held the finals of eSports tournament PAWAPURO Festival 2016, played through the JIKKYOU PAWAFURU PUROYAKYU (PAWAPURO) series, on Sunday, January 8th at Tokyo Big Sight, as part of strengthening KONAMI's presence in eSports. Over 6,600 people attended.

With the aim of deciding the best PAWAPURO players in Japan, the finals featured heated battles between winners of previous tournaments and players who qualified on the day. In the end, Sakamoto-san triumphed in the Console division, and TOMO-san in the Mobile Game division. These high-level matches were broadcast online, showing viewers around Japan just how fun PAWAPURO can be.

KONAMI will continue to offer gamers around the world fun, exciting experiences through eSports initiatives.
