Bart Bots appointed as International Development Director

Dominiek Beelen becomes Belgium CEO

Korian Group announces the appointment of Bart Bots as Director of International Development. He will be in charge of leading the Group's expansion outside the four countries where it already operates. He took up his duties on May 1st, 2018. Dominiek Beelen succeeds him as Chief Executive Officer Belgium.

He started his career as a Medical Officer in a provincial

hospital in Zambia in 1986.

As from 1989, he was a self-employed consultant responsible for the medical affairs and the management of a Zambian rural development program mainly funded by NORAD (Norwegian ministry for foreign affairs).

Starting in 1993, he served in the International Marketing &Business Development Department of Organon Teknika

(AKZO Nobel Group) holding various positions in product management, and took up the function of Manager Medical Services Pharmaceuticals in 1998.

In 2000, he began as Senior Advisor Life Sciences at KBC-Securities, and in 2001 he joined Rendex Partners as investment manager involved in the management of participations in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry.

In 2005, he is appointed CEO of Senior Living Group, a startup operator providing residential care to about 700 residents in four nursing homes. In 2013, Senior Living Group, then counting 5500 beds in 47 facilities, is acquired by Medica. Following the merger with the Korian Group in 2014, he takes the role of Chief Executive Director Belgium.

Bart Bots holds a medical degree of the K.U. Leuven, a degree in Business Management from the University of Antwerp and an Executive MBA from the Flanders Business School.

He has a strong financial background and began his career in auditing with KPMG in 1993.

In 1996, he became the Finance and Administration Officer for the GB-Unic franchise business which is a Carrefour subsidiary.

In 1997, he took on the role of Financial Controller at Getronics Belgium and Luxembourg.

In 2003, he moved to Euro Shoe Belux as Finance and Administration Manager.

In 2006, he joined Senior Living Group as the Finance Director.

Dominiek Beelen holds a degree in Business and Financial Sciences and a Master's degree in Healthcare Auditing (BKR Antwerp).
