ROANOKE, Va., Aug. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Associates of Kroger's Mid-Atlantic Division, an affiliate of The Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR), have ratified an agreement with United Food and Commercial Workers Local 204.

The agreement covers 2,000 associates working in 18 stores.

"We thank our associates for their service to our customers during this process and every day," said Jay Cummins, President of Kroger's Mid-Atlantic Division. "This agreement provides our associates one of the best total compensation packages in our industry. It includes good wages, high-quality affordable health care and a pension when they retire."

The Kroger Mid-Atlantic division operates 127 stores in the region which includes North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, and part of Kentucky, Tennessee and Ohio.
