Kroton Educacional : Notice to the Market - Regulatory Indicators

Belo Horizonte, November 28, 2017 - Kroton Educacional S.A. ("Kroton" or "Company") - (B3: KROT3; OTCQX: KROTY) - in compliance with CVM Instruction 358/2002, as amended, hereby announces to its shareholders, investors and the market that yesterday, the Brazilian Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (INEP) announced the results of the General Program Index (IGC) and the Preliminary Program Score (CPC) of the country's higher education institutions in 2016. Both IGC and CPC are quality indicators considered by the Ministry of Education (MEC) to evaluate institutions of higher education (IHE) and the programs offered by them.

Once again, Kroton registered significant improvement in its key regulatory indicators. Of the 99 Kroton institutions evaluated last year, 96% scored 3 or higher in the IGC (on a scale of 1 to 5). Moreover, 211 postsecondary programs were evaluated in the areas of healthcare and agrarian sciences, of which 91% scored 3 or higher, an improvement of 7 p.p. from the previous evaluation of programs in these fields made in 2013. The highlights were the 4th highest CPC in Brazil (among public and private institutions) for the medical program offered by UNIC Beira Rio, the 3rd highest CPC for the nursing program offered by Pitágoras in Betim, and the 4th highest CPC for the environment management program offered by Fama in Macapá.

Combining the IGC and CPC results with those of Enade and IDD, announced in early September, whose improvement was even more significant (+24 p.p. in ENADE and +28 p.p. in IDD), the efforts made in recent years to improve the academic model (KLS 2.0) and the quality of services that are being increasingly experienced by students become evident. All these solid and consistent results demonstrate the efforts and investment made towards excellence in teaching offered by Kroton.
