K+S has been designated a "MINT Minded Company" by the "MINT Zukunft schaffen" initiative. The title was awarded on the grounds that the Company is regarded as a particularly attractive employer by students and graduates of MINT subjects, i.e., mathematics, computing, science and engineering, in Germany and displays a high degree of commitment to promote the MINT idea.

"The awarding of the title is an acknowledgement of our work in instilling enthusiasm in young people for these forward-looking subjects," says Dr. Thomas Nöcker, Board Member with responsibility for personnel at K+S Aktiengesellschaft.

K+S has been an official partner of the nationwide "MINT Zukunft schaffen" initiative since 2013. [Note: MINT is an acronym formed from the German words for mathematics, computer science, science and engineering.] The aim of the initiative is to encourage school students to develop an interest in MINT occupations and to draw attention to the shortage of MINT experts in Germany.
