KSB's US subsidiary GIW Industries, Inc., has entered into a sales and service partnership with the Finish company Outotec.

Outotec is a globally active company offering technologies and services for the metal and mineral processing industries. GIW is part of the KSB Group and manufacturers slurry pumps that are primarily used in mining applications. As a cooperation partner, Outotec will be selling and servicing GIW pumps for global hardrock mining in the future.

Through the partnership with an internationally operating systems supplier, KSB expects to win market shares in the mining segment's ore and metal production business, a market fiercely contested worldwide. The wear-resistant and durable pumps from KSB's subsidiary GIW and the application know-how provided by Outotec will ensure that mine operators' systems work more efficiently and productively.

KSB is a leading international manufacturer of pumps and valves. Founded in 1871, the Group based in Frankenthal, Germany, has a presence on five continents with its own sales and marketing organisations, manufacturing facilities and service operations. Around 16,300 employees generate annual consolidated sales revenue of some 2.2 billion euros.

GIW Industries, Inc., based in Grovetown (Georgia / USA), was founded in 1891 and acquired by KSB in 1988. Alongside mining applications, GIW pumps are used as dredge pumps, jet water pumps, bilge water and barrier water pumps, as well as waste water and drainage pumps.
