The KSB Group increased its sales revenue during the first six months by € 87.0 million (+ 8.6 %) to € 1,098.7 million. The pump and valve manufacturer announced this in its half-year financial report published today. Order intake grew by € 20.9 million (+ 1.8 %) over the same period to total € 1,152.8 million. The Group recorded strong order growth in its service business, while order intake in its project business was down on the comparative prior-year period.

For the period up to 30 June 2015, KSB generated earnings before income taxes (EBT) of € 28.6 million, representing an improvement of 38.0 % on the comparative period in 2014 (€ 20.7 million).

With regard to the full year, KSB expects the positive development to continue. Consolidated sales revenue is to grow significantly in 2015 compared with the previous year. Order intake is also anticipated to rise significantly. Power plant project orders expected to be received in the second half of the year should make a major contribution in this regard.

As far as earnings before income taxes (EBT) are concerned, KSB continues to anticipate considerable growth. The figure will depend on whether there will be a tangible recovery during the second half of the year of the industry's unexpectedly weak economic activity.

Over the coming years KSB will continue to focus on markets in which it already ranks among the top players or in which it is aiming to assume a leading position. With a view to streamlining its production, the KBS management has launched a concentration process whose main aim is to cut the costs of European production.
