KUNLUN ENERGY COMPANY LIMITED On 6 and 7 April 2016, Mr. Huang Weihe, vice president of PetroChina Company Limited and chairman of the board of directors of Kunlun Energy Company Limited ('Kunlun Energy'), accompanied by Mr. Zhao Yongqi, chief executive officer of Kunlun Energy, visited Wuhai, Inner Mongolia, where he inspected Kunlun Energy's LNG plant in Wuhai and discussed with officials from Wuhai government and local enterprises about cooperation in comprehensive coke utilization.
Wuhai has rich and concentrated coke resources. A coke oven gas comprehensive utilization project located in Wuhai owned by China Natural Gas Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Kunlun Energy, has been completed and put into trial operation. The purpose of Mr. Huang's visit is to seek breakthroughs in making use of CNPC's technical innovation capability and industrial chain advantage and utilising the existing assets of Kunlun Energy to improve performance in line with local economic transformation and upgrading.
In the morning of 7 April 2016, Mr. Huang visited Wuhai Xilaifeng LNG Plant, inspected enterprises with intention of strategic cooperation, and expressed condolence to employees at Qianlishan LGN Plant. In the afternoon, Mr. Huang set tasks for the next step in light of the actual situation of Kunlun Energy's Wuhai project after being debriefed about the Wuhai project. He believes that if such tasks are accomplished, Kunlun Energy no doubt will contribute to the comprehensive utilization and cleansing of coal in Wuhai and in turn the energy production revolution in the PRC.
Following the visits, Mr. Huang Weihe and his entourage met with officials from Wuhai Party Committee and Wuhai government. Mr. Huang expressed his acknowledgement of Wuhai's development of new coal chemical business and stated his will to development the cooperation project into a demonstration project. Chen Wenku, deputy mayor of Wuhai, reviewed Wuhai's long-term cooperation and good feel with CNPC and Kunlun Energy and wished the parties could actively work together to advance relevant work. Gong Mingzhu, deputy party secretary of Wuhai and on behalf of Wuhai Party Committee and Wuhai government, said they will establish a 'green channel' for and provide government services to the project and support the development of the project and related enterprises.
Mr. Zhangyaoming, chief accountant of the natural gas and pipeline branch of PetroChina Company Limited, Mr. Wang Gang, chief accountant of Kunlun Energy, Mr. Zhong Wenxu, deputy general manager and safety director of Kunlun Energy, and Mr. Gao Yaoting, deputy general manager of Petrochina Ningxia Petrochemical, also participated in the inspection.
