Regarding Genkai Nuclear Power Station Unit No.3, we planned to undergo the Inspection No.5, which is the final pre-operation inspection to confirm comprehensive performance, on April 23 and 24 and return to Commercial operation.
Based on the restart of generating electricity yesterday, we replanned to undergo the Inspection No.5 on May 15 and 16, and we submitted the change application to the Nuclear Regulatory Authority(NRA) and Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry(METI) today.
In addition, regarding the common facilities of Unit No.3 and No.4 belonging to Unit No.4, which is necessary for operation of Unit 3, they must be used after commercial operation of Unit No.3. Therefore, based on the Reactor Regulation Act, etc., we resubmitted approval application for use to NRA and METI, changing the scheduled start date to May 16, return date of commercial operation.
We will continue to make sincerely an all-out effort to deal with the Nuclear Regulation Authority's inspections, and carry out remaining process carefully without sticking to the schedule, putting utmost priority to safety.
