(NYSE: CVD) today announced it has set a date for a special meeting of its stockholders to consider and vote on the previously announced proposed acquisition of Covance by Laboratory Corporation of America® Holdings (LabCorp®) (NYSE: LH) and certain other related matters. The special meeting will be held on February 18, 2015, at 8:00 a.m. local time, at the Princeton Marriott Hotel & Conference Center at Forrestal, 100 College Road East, Princeton, New Jersey.

Covance stockholders of record as of the close of business on January 15, 2015 are entitled to notice of, and to vote at, the special meeting.

The proposed acquisition is subject to approval by Covance's stockholders and certain other customary closing conditions.
