Securities America, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ladenburg Thalmann Financial Services Inc. (NYSE American: LTS, LTS PrA), is pleased to welcome Compass Financial Resources.

The Olathe, Kansas-based firm has 10 advisors and 10 support staff members with $340 million in client assets. It also has offices in Hutchinson, Kansas, and Lincoln, Nebraska.

Compass Financial Resources President Russ Lane said Securities America’s Midwestern culture and 30-year history fueled his decision to join the independent broker-dealer.

“From our standpoint in all this financial services chaos, Securities America is a steady anchor we can attach our line to, so we can continue to grow and work with clients in a stable environment,” Lane said.

Lane is also founder and president of Ameritime, a registered investment advisor that provides Kansas School District employees and administrators information and guidance regarding the state’s pension system.

“The advisors and staff at Compass Financial Resources have a proven track record of providing superior service to their clients,” said Gregg Johnson, Securities America executive vice president of branch office development and acquisitions. “We’re excited about this partnership and eager to provide Russ and his team the technology and resources to take their client service to the next level.”
