BALTIMORE, Jan. 12, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Legg Mason, Inc. (NYSE: LM) reported preliminary assets under management of approximately $779.6 billion as of January 31, 2018. This month's AUM included net long-term inflows of $0.6 billion, driven by net inflows in fixed income of $2.1 billion, partially offset by net equity outflows of $1.4 billion and net alternative outflows of $0.1 billion. Fixed income flows included a previously announced $1.0 billion low-fee redemption. Alternative AUM reflects $0.3 billion of realizations1. Liquidity outflows were $1.6 billion and this month's AUM included a positive foreign exchange impact of $4.1 billion.
