RESTON, Va., Oct. 5, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Leidos (NYSE: LDOS), an engineering, national security and health solutions company, was recently awarded a prime contract by the U.S. Air Force (USAF) to perform architectural engineering services for a range of global programs. The multiple-award, firm fixed-price and cost-plus fixed-fee indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract has a five-year base period of performance with two additional years for performance. The total contract ceiling value is approximately $950 million for all awardees. Leidos is one of 18 organizations eligible to compete for work under the contract.

The Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC) is responsible for providing responsive, wide-scope engineering services to the USAF. Under the contract, Leidos will provide Title I, Title II, and other engineering services to administer, coordinate and technically support AFCEC's military construction, military family housing privatization initiatives, facility sustainment, restoration and modernization programs, as well as other essential worldwide support areas. These programs could include work in various government installations in the U.S., at various overseas government locations, at government territorial possessions, at Defense Logistics Agency fuel facilities worldwide or at other worldwide locations.
