Rear Admiral Nevin Carr Named Leidos U.S. Navy Strategic Account Executive

(Reston, Va.) June 15, 2015 - Leidos (NYSE: LDOS), a national security, health and engineering solutions company, announced the appointment of Rear Admiral Nevin Carr as Vice President and U.S. Navy Strategic Account Executive. In his role, Carr will be responsible for identifying and executing strategic initiatives to achieve customer mission success, and growing the company's naval and maritime business.

Carr retired from the U.S. Navy in 2012, following a 34-year career that included command of USS Arleigh Burke and USS Cape St George. As Deputy Director of Surface Warfare for Combat Systems he was responsible for requirements governing surface Navy combat systems, weapons, sensors and data links. Serving as Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy for International Programs, he helped build international partnerships through training, cooperative development, and Foreign Military Sales. As Chief of Naval Research, Carr led 4,000 scientists and engineers executing the Navy's $2 billion science and technology effort. He worked closely with industry, academia, major research institutions, and international partners to develop emerging and disruptive technologies such as directed energy, autonomous systems, human augmentation, and the electromagnetic rail gun.

"Nevin brings invaluable experience and insight of the naval market to Leidos," said Leidos Executive Vice President for Business Development and Strategy Michael Leiter. "His proven leadership honed in his 34 year career in the Navy will strengthen our existing customer relationships and enable us to continue consistent and reliable support of our U.S. Navy customers."

Prior to joining Leidos, Carr served as Vice President for AECOM, formerly URS's Federal Services division. He also served on several boards as advisor or director, as a senior advisor with McKinsey & Co, and as a distinguished visiting scholar at Stanford.
