Lend Lease (US) Community Fund raises more than $233,000 for military families, veterans

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Sept. 18, 2015) - Lend Lease (US) Community Fund (LLCF) raised more than $233,000 at the third annual 18 FORE MILITARY FAMILIES Golf Tournament, with all proceeds benefitting organizations and programming that support US military, military families and veterans.

In addition to raising funds for Lend Lease (US) Community Fund's BlueStar Scholarships Program, the tournament, which was held Tuesday, Sept. 15, at the Governors Club in Brentwood, supported nonprofits including K9s for Warriors, Operation Stand Down, and Operation Shower, among others. More than 100 players participated from local, regional and national corporations, including players from title sponsor Bank of America Merrill Lynch, representatives from platinum sponsors IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) and WinnResidential, teams representing gold sponsors Mainscape and Fidelity National Title, Tennessee Titans players, songwriters and others.

Denis Oliverio, Director of Development for K9s For Warriors, participated in the tournament with his service dog, Winchester. K9s for Warriors, an organization that LLCF supports, is dedicated to providing service canines to warriors suffering from Post-traumatic Stress Disability, traumatic brain injuryand/or military sexual trauma as a result of military service post 9/11. The organization's goal is to empower them to return to civilian life with dignith and independence.
