 GOWEX initiates its services in Pointe-Noire, the second most populated city in Congo-Brazzaville with over 1 million inhabitants. In the first phase, the free Wi-Fi service will be available in large touristic areas as hotels, restaurants and bars at the Congolese city.

Through this partnership, GOWEX enters into the African continent, providing connection services to Pointe-Noire, the second most populated city of the Republic of Congo, with over 1 million inhabitants, and the principal commercial city in the country.  More than 48% of its population is under 20, target public using Wi-Fi connectivity services.

The network will have more than a hundred free Wi-Fi hotspots located in areas of high touristic affluence of Pointe-Noire in which Yattoo.com is present, like hotels, restaurants and bars in the city, etc., and where free wireless connection is highly demanded and an essential service for clients. Mobile services and Internet access in Africa are more and more demanded day by day. According to a recent study by McKinsey consulting firm, around 50% of the population living in urban areas is now online, due to the proliferation of low-cost smartphones offers in African countries.

In 2025,there will be 600 million smart devices users in the African continent, and there will be 360 million smartphones in the market.
