Liberty Property Trust Employees Team Up with Northern Illinois Food Bank to Stock and Staff Mobile Pantry on the 12th Annual Bill Rouse Day of Caring

Elk Grove, IL - June 19, 2015 - On Liberty Property Trust's national day of service in honor of its founder, Willard "Bill" G. Rouse III, employees in the company's Chicago office stocked and staffed a mobile food pantry through Northern Illinois Food Bank. Those in need were able to pick up food at the Food Bank's Mobile Pantry located in the parking lot of a local school in Joliet, IL.

"Bill Rouse Day of Caring is a special day for us at Liberty and we are excited to again share it with Northern Illinois Food Bank," said Neal Driscoll, vice president and city manager for Liberty Property Trust. "In the seven years that we have worked together organizing food drives and mobile pantries, we are proud to have taken part in collecting and donating more than 1,400 pounds of food including meals served directly to more than 600 families."

This year, in addition to donating the funds to stock the pantry, Liberty manned the Mobile Pantry with more than twenty-five volunteers consisting of staff employees, vendors and tenants. The team provided close to 50 pounds of frozen meat, fresh produce, bread and nutritious non-perishables to each of the approximately 125 families seeking assistance that day. One-in- seven people across 13 counties rely on Northern Illinois Food Bank and its network of food pantries and feeding programs,and Liberty's contributions help provide access to food for these families.

For more than a decade, Liberty Property Trust employees have honored the memory of company founder Willard "Bill" G. Rouse III with a national day of community service. It is traditionallyobserved on the Friday closest to his birthday, June 19, and celebrated by more than 400 employees in the company's more than 20 offices in the US and UK.
