Eden Prairie, MN - October 21, 2014 - Liberty Property Trust (on Monday 10/20) celebrated its official groundbreaking of Dayton Distribution Center I, located along I-94. The 247,004 square foot building is expected to be completed by spring 2015.

"We fast-tracked this project since closing on the 20-acre parcel last month, and we thank the City of Dayton, its planning commission and city council for their support of our project," said Dave Jellison, vice president and city manager for Liberty's Minnesota region.

In attendance at the groundbreaking event were representatives from the city of Dayton including the planning commission, city council and Mayor, Tim McNeil. Representing Liberty was Dave Jellison, vice president and city manager, Rick Weiblen, vice president of development and Dan Lofgren,director of leasing, along with the rest of the Liberty Minnesota team. Also in attendance was Jon Rausch of Cushman & Wakefield/NorthMarq, who represented Liberty in the original land transaction.

Dayton Distribution Center I will be a state of the art distribution building with 32' clear height, abundant trailer storage and a deep truck court. Liberty is pursuing LEED® for Building Design and Construction: Core & Shell Development at the Silver level.

The architect for the development project is Ed Farr Architects, Inc., the civil engineer is Anderson Engineering of MN, LLC and the general contractor is R.J. Ryan Construction, Inc.

Liberty has begun plans for a second development in the complex, Dayton Distribution Center II, a 76,978 square foot facility. The company anticipates construction to start in midyear 2015.
