Liberty Property : Breaks Ground on a 216,000 Square Foot Distribution Building in Landover, MD

New Development Furthers Liberty's Growth Strategy in Baltimore/Washington Region

Columbia, MD - January 13, 2016 - Liberty Property Trust today announced that it has broken ground on a 216,000 square foot, Class A distribution building at 1500 Claybrick Road in Landover, MD. When completed in the third quarter of 2016, Washington Gateway Logistics Center will bring Liberty's industrial portfolio in the region to 24 buildings totaling more than four million square feet.

'Liberty continues to grow our industrial platform in the Baltimore/Washington market,' said Todd Summerfield, senior director of leasing and development for Liberty. 'Delivering 216,000 square feet of new Class A product on the doorstep of Washington D.C. will help satisfy active demand for modern facilities with immediate access to the metropolitan market.'

Washington Gateway Logistics Centerwill feature a 32' clear height, 50'x54' typical column spacing, 60' speed bay, an ESFR fire suppression system, up to 58 dock doors, 2 drive-ins, trailer storage and ample parking. It is situated in a prime location one mile from Washington, D.C. with immediate access to Rt. 50, I-295, I-495/I-95 and proximate to the Cheverly and Deanwood Metro Stations. NAI Michael will be marketing the building for lease on behalf of Liberty.
