Liberty Property : Signs 199,735 Square Feet of Space at Imperial Center in Durham, North Carolina

CHARLOTTE, NC - June 21, 2016 - Liberty Property Trust today announced that it has signed four leases totaling 199,735 square feet at Imperial Center in Durham, North Carolina.
'The strength of the Triangle's industrial market is why Liberty continues to invest in the region. Our new Liberty Ridge development project on T.W. Alexander Drive is set to deliver three new buildings in August, which is great timing as Liberty's other assets in the Triangle are 97% occupied,' said Massie Flippin, vice president and city manager for Liberty's Carolinas region. 'We are excited to welcome three new tenants and expand an existing customer at Imperial Center in the RTP submarket.'
Armstrong Relocation Company has leased 74,519 square feet at Windsor Place, located at 4227 Surles Court. Armstrong Relocation currently leases 49,085 square feet in the building and upon completion of its expansion this month, the company will occupy the entire building. Bret Muller and Stephen Porterfield with Capital Associates represented Armstrong Relocation and Bryan Blythe represented Liberty in the transaction.
Zig Zibit has leased 68,656 square feet in Commerce Center. Located at 4300 Emperor Boulevard, the company will move into its new location in November. Rich Harris and Ben Litke of Cushman & Wakefield represented Zig Zibit and Bryan Blythe represented Liberty in the transaction.
Get Spiffy has signed a lease for 8,080 square feet at Regent Place and the company will occupy the building this month. Ryan Toland of Cushman & Wakefield represented Get Spiffy and Matt Winters and Clay Stober of Tri-Properties represented Liberty in the transaction.
An undisclosed tenant has signed a 48,480 square foot lease at Regent Place.
In 2014, Liberty acquired five Class A industrial buildings in Imperial Center totaling 705,365 square feet. The complex offers immediate access to I-40 and I-540, and is within five miles of the Raleigh-Durham International Airport.
Across the Carolinas portfolio, Liberty owns more than 8.2 million square feet of industrial space completed or under construction. In North Carolina, the company owns two million square feet in the Piedmont Triad, 1.7 million square feet in Raleigh and 2.9 million square feet in Charlotte. In addition, it owns 1.6 million square feet of space in Greenville, South Carolina.
