Following its rebrand, leading automotive industry vehicle data provider Carweb has moved to Kings Hill to enable it to carry out its plans to double in size over the next five years.

The company, which provides technical data to garages and workshops, registration lookup services to the insurance, car parking, car sales and hire sectors as well as motor industry reports, currently employs 25 people in its new office in 10 Kings Hill Avenue.

It is part of US-based Solera, global provider of risk and asset management software and services to automotive and property companies in more than 75 countries across six continents.

'This is a very exciting time for us and our move to a new office reflects the ambitions we have for the business as part of Solera,' said Carweb's technical director Barry Clarke. 'Over the next five years we plan to increase the number of staff to 50 and we didn't have room for this expansion in our previous office.

'We were attracted to Kings Hill because it is an incredibly well maintained environment with state of the art offices set in highly attractive, landscaped grounds. There are shops, restaurants and leisure amenities a short walk away which makes it a great place for our staff to work and an impressive location for our clients to visit.'

Kings Hill is being developed by Liberty Property Trust and managing director Andrew Blevins said: 'We provide a range of property solutions to suit businesses from start-ups to major global organisations with what we think are more amenities than any other UK business park, which helps attract and retain staff.

'We are delighted Carweb has decided to move here and it is always good to see a company planning to expand. Another advantage of Kings Hill is that its residential population provides a potential workforce on the doorstep.'

Kings Hill is a 24-hour live, work, play modern garden village and has an established business community, providing jobs, amenities, homes, schools and other community infrastructure all within walking distance. Amenities include an 18 hole golf course, Waitrose and Asda stores plus other convenience retail, three schools, Sports Park, cricket pitch and two gyms including David Lloyd, acres of woodland and open space and many miles of foot and cycle paths.

A new residential neighbourhood is underway, a new primary school - the third at Kings Hill - opened last year and an extension to the community centre, additional allotments, trim trails and pitches for the Kings Hill Sports Park are in the pipeline.

Land is also available for further office and business space requirements.
