LifeWatch : receives FDA clearance to run its ACT software on the Android™ operating system

Zug/Switzerland, September 14, 2015 - LifeWatch AG (SIX Swiss Exchange: LIFE), a leading devel- oper and provider of medical solutions and remote diagnostic monitoring services in the digital health market, is pleased to announce that it has received FDA clearance to run its ACT software on the tech- nologically advanced Android™ operating system. The ACT (Ambulatory Cardiac Telemetry) system currently represents LifeWatch's core monitoring services system and runs on a different operating system. This clearance expands the number of operating systems and devices on which this software can run.

Initially, the software has been cleared for use with the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini, although we expect to be able to use other Android phones in the near future. LifeWatch also projects that it will receive clearance to market a cardiac telemetry patch technology using the Android operating system later this year.

This clearance is an important step for the company for other key reasons as well. It is a building block for the future introduction of the company's universal gateway, which will also run on the Android oper- ating system and is currently under development.

The ability to use the Android operating system is not only an advancement which is expected to please patients and physicians alike, it is expected that this advancement will also lead to considerable sav- ings for the Company. Android phones are considerably less expensive than the price paid for the Mi- crosoft Windows operating system phones currently in use by the Company, thereby giving LifeWatch an opportunity to be even more competitive in the marketplace.
