Lloyds Banking Group PLC : Lloyds to Sell 630 Branches to Co-operative Group

Lloyds Banking Group PLC (LLOY.LN, LYG) is nearing a sale of 630 branches to the Co-operative Group, and could be announced later Wednesday, the Financial Times reported, citing unnamed sources.
The report said Lloyds could be prepared to accept a deal between GBP1 billion ($1.56 billion) and GBP1.5 billion, down from an earlier estimate of between GBP1.5 billion to GBP2 billion earlier.
Lloyds and Co-operative couldn't be reached for comment, the FT added.
