Logica rolls out Global Innovation Venture Partner programme to find pioneering enterprises

For the fifth year in a row, Logica, a leading technology and business service company, is looking to partner with the world's most forward-thinking enterprises through its Global Innovation Venture Partner (GIVP) programme. Today the company opened the doors for organisations to submit their entries in its search for the business with the most innovative products and solutions.

This year Logica has extended the number of participating countries from seven to ten, adding Norway, Spain and Morocco to last year's list of the UK, France, Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Portugal and India.

Nominated companies will be judged by a Logica panel and the winner will work with Logica to develop their entry for Logica clients. The winner will gain access to Logica's global sales resources, go-to-market support and have opportunities to engage with client organisations where appropriate. They will also have their suggested solution added to Logica's Global Portfolio Catalogue.

Qualities the judges are looking for in a company are the originality of a product, the potential of the idea and whether it is aligned to Logica's client needs. This year Logica will also focus on whether it is aligned with defined strategic areas.

Over 400 companies participated in last year's GIVP programme. Eight country winners and two global winners were identified to partner with Logica in the innovation field - UK based Embarcadero Technologies and Vergic AB, headquartered in Sweden.

Commenting on the benefits of the partnership, Xavier Aubry, CEO Appear Networks, says "The GIVP programme has been, without a doubt, a business accelerator for us. After winning the global award we quickly developed a joint go-to-market plan with Logica in key countries. In the first year of the partnership we were able to close our first million Euro deal and generate a substantial new business pipeline in our target industries."

This year, Logica is broadening the horizon of the GIVP programme nominations by extending the invite to organisations outside of the Logica network. One person from each participating country who has nominated the winning company will win a new iPad.

Speaking about the competition, GBS Bindra, global innovation director, Logica said, "This programme is an important initiative through which we identify new partners who are as committed as us to innovation. It is testimony to the success of the programme that we have been able to extend the invitation to three additional countries. As always, I look forward to working with the new innovation partner that comes from this year's programme."

Nominations close on 15th June 2012. To nominate a company please go to www.logica.com/givp. The global winner will be announced in the first week of September 2012.
