The MIPA Group acquired 100 percent of the Feycolor Group and the enterprises Feycolor GmbH, Regensburg (Germany), and Feycolor GmbH, Mäder (Austria). The internationally active company develops, produces and distributes paints and varnishes (coatings) with special focus on industrial and car repair coatings. The MIPA Group inter alia maintains sites in Essenbach, Frauenfeld (Switzerland), and Villach (Austria).
The Feycolor Group will be integrated into the MIPA Group as an autonomous entity. The employment contracts of all employees will be transferred to the purchaser. The Feycolor production plant in Regensburg and the distribution location in Mäder as well as the Feycolor brand will continue to exist. The sale to the MIPA Group will give the approximately 70
Feycolor employees an opportunity for further development within a renowned family-owned
company.
In 2013, the Feycolor Group generated revenues of about CHF 16 million. The contracting parties agreed on the non-disclosure of the purchase price.
Tim Talaat, CEO of the Looser Group, says: "This transaction is an important step towards further concentrating our coatings activities. We are happy that, by selling to a successful local company, we have found a good solution for the Feycolor Group."
