Markedly lower revenues than in the prior year – slight recovery in the fourth quarter

Looser Holding AG, headquartered in Arbon (Switzerland), generated net revenues of CHF 436.4 million (prior year: CHF 487.4 million) in the financial year 2015. This figure includes revenues of the Temperature Control segment (Single Group) up until the end of November 2015 (11 months) in the amount of CHF 29.8 million. After adjustments for currency and divestment effects, revenues declined by 2.1 percent from the prior year. Excluding the Temperature Control segment, consolidated 2015 revenues would have amounted to CHF 406.6 million, compared to CHF 449.6 million in the financial year 2014 (-9.6 percent).

Development of segment revenues

Net revenues in the Coatings segment declined by 16.3 percent from the prior year. After currency adjustments, revenues decreased by 14.2 percent from 2014. Net revenues in the Industrial Services segment fell by 5.3 percent and by 4.2 percent after currency adjustments. Revenues in the Doors segment were 5.9 percent lower than in the previous year. After currency adjustments, however, a 7.3 percent revenue growth was recorded.

Earnings outlook

Due to the change in accounting standards to Swiss GAAP FER, the intangible assets of the Temperature Control segment had been amortized in full over their useful lives at the time of disposal. Therefore, the sale of the Single Group resulted in a significant gain and the operating result (EBITDA) as well as the operating margin for 2015 are expected to significantly exceed the prior year figures. Excluding this gain on divestment, however, the EBITDA and EBITDA margin reported will be lower than in the previous year.
